Dana Lynn Heuker, beloved daughter, sister and aunt, age 34, of Grand Rapids, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, May 14, 2024. Dana graduated from South Christian High School and Grand Valley State University. She was a Physician Services Coordinator at University of Michigan Health West. She had a passion for animals and people who were vulnerable and devoted her free time to service with animals at Focus on Ferals. Dana had an unconventional generosity which resulted in thoughtful gifts and meaningful time spent with her family and friends. She loved spending time with and doting on her nieces and nephews. Dana will be deeply missed.  She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Marvin and Ruth TeBos; and grandmother, Lois Heuker. Dana will be lovingly remembered by her mother, Karla Helms (Dean); brother, Nathan (Sarah) Heuker; sisters, Kathryn Tanis, and Karen (Steven) McKay; nieces and nephews, Joanna, Henrik, Levi, Edie, Harper, Briar; grandfather, James Heuker; and her dog, London. The family will greet visitors on Saturday, May 25, from 6 - 7 pm at Stroo Funeral Home (1095 68th St. SE), where the service will be held on Sunday, May 26, at 2 pm. There will be an hour of visitation prior to the service from 1 - 2 pm. Interment will be in Winchester Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in Dana’s name to Focus on Ferals, 7962 Clyde Park Ave. SW, Byron Center, MI
