Carol M. (Birgy) Richards, age 88, of Kentwood, MI, originally of Fife Lake, MI passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 5, 2024.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter; son, Brice Richards.  Lovingly remembering Carol are her children, Robin (Doug) Mellema, Jamie Madaj, Staci (Ray) Lapp; grandchildren, Shyla (Zach) Dunson, Shane (Lorae) Richards, Jordan Richards, Zach Madaj, Haley (Austin) McKenna, Lexie (Brock) Golembieski, Travis Lapp, Maddie Lapp; great-grandchildren, Arron Owen Vincent, Carson Vincent, Rylee Dunson, Stella Lapp, Adalynn McKenna, Laine McKenna; many nieces and nephews.  A visitation will be held one-hour prior to the service from 2 to 3 PM on Monday, June 10, at Stroo Funeral Home, 1095 68th St. SE, Grand Rapids, 49508, where the funeral service will begin at 3 PM.  Interment will be in Garfield Township Cemetery, Kalkaska, MI.  The family wishes to thank the staff of Care Cardinal Byron Manor and the Faith Hospice staff for the wonderful care they provided.
