Wiley M. Timmerman, age 93, of Middleville, went home to be with his Lord on Saturday evening, June 29, 2024. A man of integrity, Wiley's love for the Lord and for his family was evident to all. He honorably served his country in the US Army and went on to work as a mechanic for the Kent County Road Commission for many years. Throughout his life, he enjoyed working on his farm, and especially enjoyed time spent with his family. Wiley was preceded in death by his wife, Fen; his daughter, Sue Koster; and his sisters, Marjorie VanderVeen and Joan Timmerman. He will be lovingly remembered and dearly missed by his children, Mark and Lucia Timmerman, Leon and Marcia Timmerman, John and Melody Timmerman, Laurie Timmerman, Bob and Rhonda Koster; 15 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; his sister-in-law, Eleanor and Roger Rozeveld; as well as many nieces and nephews. The family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday, July 2, from 5 - 8 PM at Stroo Funeral Home, 1095 68th Street SE, Grand Rapids, and from 10 - 10:45 AM on Wednesday prior to the service at church. The funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday, July 3, at Dutton United Reformed Church, 6950 Hanna Lake Ave. SE, Caledonia, with Rev. Talman Wagenmaker officiating.
