In loving memory of an eternal warrior, mother, wife, and friend, Susan Marie (Lukso) Suidinski went into the loving arms of her Jesus on Thursday, June 20, 2024, at the young age of 67, after a lifelong battle with challenging health, and the last 7 months simultaneously fighting an esophageal tear and a declining body.  She spent her last day with her family at her side, and passed peacefully in her sleep, starting her journey with the Lord.

Born in Wyoming, Michigan, on August 13, 1956, she was described as a firecracker from Day One.  She was always full of energy, trying new things, never afraid of a challenge, and always trying to prove the world wrong.  From academics (where she graduated from Kellogsville High School 3rd in her class), to sports (where she started the first ever women’s basketball team at her high school), to the workforce (where she won awards at every job she worked), to the second half of her life (where she spent the last 30 years fighting countless unfortunate medical illnesses and ailments, and beating death time and time again), this woman NEVER GAVE UP.

Susan lived a full life, even though cut short, and in it she experienced living it to the fullest,  love, motherhood, marriage (including reuniting with her high school crush 20+ years later and becoming the biggest story of love and devotion ever told), and a personal relationship with the Lord.  She loved being a homemaker when life took her from her career, and she put her all into her family and every thing she touched.  In her free time she loved watching her murder mysteries, game shows, and talking on the phone.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Marion (VanDam) Lukso, and her father, Joseph Lukso.

She will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Frank Suidinski; daughter, Jennifer (Josh) Hartley-Niewiadomski; son, Robert Hartley; grandchildren, Joseph Hill Jr, and Sawyer Hill; brothers and sister, Joe (Marilyn) Lukso, Norma Peterson, Steve Lukso, Mike Lukso, Bob Lukso; her niece, Tracey Ryon, and nephew Christopher Lukso; and a huge church family - all of whom loved her fiercely.

The family will host a funeral service for anyone that would like to attend at 2:00pm on Sunday, July 21, at Celebration Bible Church, located at 4690 8th Ave, Grandville, MI 49418, with a visitation one hour prior to the service, starting at 1:00pm.  The family invites anyone to stay after for light refreshments/snacks, and socializing.   Private burial will follow later that week in Grandville Cemetery.

We also ask that if you’d like to participate, please add some pink or purple to your attire at the funeral - Sue LOVED these colors, and we plan to harness every bit of her spirit in this day, so please feel free to join in and really make this a celebration of HER.  :)

In lieu of flowers, Susan, and her family, specifically request (ed) that any donations be made to the church that was her true home and family at heart, Celebration Bible church.  This church family, and especially Pastor Jim Shemaria, stood with the family through every second of this journey, long before the last 7 months ever started, and truly represent what Susan wants to see more of in this world.

Rest in peace, dear warrior,  You fought the BEST fight, and inspired so many.

What an incredible example of a christian and a warrior for life.
Sue and I were born and grew up just a few doors apart on Orleans/Clay Ave in Wyoming Mi. and I can remember bits and peaces of growing up in that neighborhood with Sue and some of her family. While we were not close friends, we were classmates and friends for 60+ years and I know that Heaven has received someone very special.

You were always an inspiration to me, you went through so much and yet that beautiful smile never left your face. I love you and will miss you my little friend. Rest safely in the arms of Jesus.
