Charles “Chuck” Henry De Boer of Green Lake, Caledonia has gone to be with his Creator, Savior, and Comforter. Chuck was born on Sept 15th, 1946 to former Staff Sergeant Henry De Boer and Verna June (Koster) De Boer, and as of September 7, 2024, is now praising God at His feet in glory. He leaves behind wife Rose Mary (Nederveld); sons: Charles Trevor and his wife Kathy (Breen), Tristan Heath, and Cameron Tyce and his wife Anita (Lackey); Grandsons: Colton John, Chase Henry, and Chase Ryan. Brother Ronald “Reg” De Boer and wife Nancy, Sister Laurie Bosma and her husband Joe; Brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Randy and Mary Nederveld, Ross Nederveld, Marcia Nederveld and many nieces and nephews.
Since the age of 5, Chuck has been a member of Bethany United Reformed Church, serving as Deacon, Treasurer, Sunday School Teacher and Elder. Chuck loved to sing God’s praises and used his talent to encourage others by being part of the Music Committee and leading the monthly Hymn Sing on Sunday evenings after church services. After graduating from Calvin College with a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Chuck was employed at Blackmer Pump Co./Dover Resources in various positions until his retirement on Dec 31,2012 from the position of Cost and Credit Manager.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, Sept 12 from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm at Stroo Funeral Home, 1095 68th St and Friday Sept 13 from 10-11am at Bethany United Reformed Church, 5401 Byron Center Ave SW with a funeral to follow at the church. In lieu of flowers, donations made to the Bethany URC Cadets or Kingdom Seekers clubs would be appreciated
