CRANDALL, THOMAS A.

CALEDONIA, MICHIGAN

 

Thomas Alan Crandall, age 80, passed away on Friday, September 13, 2024. Tom, or Doc as he was known to many, owned and operated Surface Techs for the past 28 years. He had a strong work ethic and took great pride in his work. He loved his Irish Wolfhounds, classic cars, and drag racing. Tom always said the 1950's and 60's were the best days of his life, and he loved listening to the music of Roy Orbison, Johnny Cash, and Buddy Holly ever since. His parents, Bernard and Bernadine Crandall, and his brother, Terry Crandall, preceded him in death. Surviving are his children and grandchildren, Rhonda and Todd Kempema (Jessica Kempema, Michael Kempema, Julianna Kempema, Makaylee Kempema), Trenton Crandall, Marcie and Brandon Vos (Mylie Vos, Brystal Vos); his siblings, Tim Crandall, L. Susan and James Azzar, Nancy and Steve Steketee; many nieces and nephews. As Tom requested, cremation has taken place. He will be laid to rest in South Gaines Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Kidney Fund.
