Roger A. DeMaagd, age 93, of Kentwood, MI passed peacefully into the arms of Jesus on Wednesday, November 27, 2024.  Roger proudly served in the U.S. Army and spent his time thereafter in service to his family, through his knowledge in trades, working on his fruit farm and tinkering with his antique cars.  Roger was preceded in death by his first wife, Marcia; and grandson, Chad Flietstra.  Roger is survived by his wife, Wilma; children, Steve (Nancy) DeMaagd, Patricia (Casey) Flietstra, Pamela DeMaagd-Ondersma (Samuel Ondersma), Cathy (Al) Wohlfert, Michele Klunder (fiancé, Bob Wierckz), John (Vicki) DeMaagd; 28 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild.  The family will greet relatives and friends on Friday, November 29, from 5 to 8 PM at Stroo Funeral Home, 1095 68th St. SE, Grand Rapids, 49508.  The funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 30, at 11 AM at Friendship Christian Reformed Church, 190 100th St. SE, Byron Center, 49315.  Rev. Calvin Compagner will officiate.  Interment will be in Hooker Cemetery, Leighton Township.  The family wishes to thank Faith Hospice and the Blodgett staff for their wonderful care and support shown to Roger and his family.  Memorial contributions in memory of Roger may be made to Moline Christian School.
