David Brooks McIntyre, age 59, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, November 22, 2024. David had an adventurous upbringing with his brothers in West Chester, PA. At the age of 16, he surrendered his life to Christ, and the Lord guided his path all the way to eternity. David's hope ... "but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint." Isaiah 40:31. David spent many years in the mission field serving as a church-planting pastor with Association of Baptist for World Evangelism (ABWE) in Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais, Brazil. David was the author of a 3-book series called The Fall, on Amazon Kindle. He was the founder and cofounder of several Bushcraft Survival schools in central Brazil. He had a popular YouTube Channel dedicated to survival tutorials and family memories, under the handle “Colhane – David McIntyre”. David showcased his talents and resilience when he became the winner of Alone – Season 2, on the History Channel. After his epic victory, David went on to become the Global Director of Set Free Ministries, in Grand Rapids, MI. David’s ministry and service to the Lord took him to Africa, India, and the Dominican Republic, where he educated leaders in Spiritual Warfare. David answered every call with “Yes Lord, send me!”. David will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his children, Erin (John) Hunley, Karina McIntyre and Caleb Womac, Daniel McIntyre and Linnea Aguirre; grandchildren, Mathias and Zoe Ann; mother, Suzanne McIntyre; brothers, Jeff McIntyre, Carl (Janice) McIntyre and their children, Caleb, Samuel and Marie.
